Tonya is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has been offering individual and couples therapy since 2014, focusing her work primarily on mental and emotional disturbances rooted in unhealthy relationships.
She works with adult clients suffering from attachment issues, trauma-related problems and unhealthy emotions dealing with a dysfunctional family or relationship. Tonya teaches clients how to manage emotions and develop healthy coping strategies. She also helps clients who exhibit negative interactional patterns and suffer from inter-generational family trauma. She can provide the tools to control negative relationship dances, understand and communicate needs, and help individuals find healing in themselves and their relationships.
Using evidence-based methodologies, Tonya uses a holistic and integrative approach to treatment that focuses on the emotional, mental, physical, social, and spiritual aspects. She firmly believes that the therapeutic relationship is key to the healing process.
